About

Kelsey
-Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

I am passionate about helping people understand themselves better so that they can be empowered to make more intentional choices.  These choices may include how you connect with others, how you react to conflict, or how you perceive yourself.  I specifically work with couples and individuals who struggle with closeness in their relationships, intimate or otherwise.  This may look like behaviors that push others away such as consistent lashing out, or conversely, the need to remain entangled with others.

If you could benefit from exercising more choice over your reactions, ways of interacting, or internal experiences, you have come to the right place.  In sessions with me, you will have the opportunity to get to know your underlying processes and rework previous, unsatisfying ways of being.

I am so happy that you found me so that we can start our work together.  Contact me if you have any questions, or schedule your first appointment today!

Experience

My direct clinical experience includes working with couples, individuals, families, and children.  Specific struggles I have experience working with as a therapist include, but are not limited to, infidelity, communication, disconnection, alienation, depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, divorce, boundaries, and mistrust.  Prior to my clinical work, my experience and interests revolved around working and volunteering with underprivileged families and youth.  In these settings I worked with issues around poverty, limited resources, trauma, mistrust, addiction, money management, nutrition, and community.
